Retirement Ceremony for the Commander of the City Police in Elbląg

On February 22nd, a solemn farewell ceremony was held in the auditorium of the City Police Headquarters in Elbląg for Inspector Robert Muraszko, who is retiring.

Present at the ceremony was Senior Inspector Paweł Krauz, Acting Regional Police Commander in Olsztyn, who entrusted the duties of the Elbląg unit commander to Senior Inspector Tomasz Piaskowski, the former Deputy Commander of the City Police in Elbląg.

Robert Muraszko has served as the City Police Commander since 2016 and has been in the police service for nearly 27 years. For the last 16 years, he held the position of Deputy Commander and then City Police Commander in Elbląg. During his service, he was also associated with the Police Headquarters Staff and the Prevention Department.

He has been decorated with awards including the Silver Medal "For Merit to National Defence", the Gold Badge of Distinguished Policeman, the Bronze Badge for Merit in Penitentiary Work, the Silver Medal for Merit to the Border Guard, and the Badge of Distinguished Honorary Blood Donor.

The departing commander was bid farewell by parliamentarians, local government authorities, representatives of uniformed services, cooperating institutions, as well as colleagues and friends.
